FIRE INVESTIGATORS OF FLORIDA 2022 ANNUAL TRAINING CONFERENCE

SLS’ Dr. Carlos Mata will be providing a four-hour training session at the Fire Investigators of Florida 2022 Annual Training Conference from 8am – 12pm on Thursday, November 10th at the Hardrock Hotel in Daytona Beach, FL. The Fire Investigators of Florida are the 9th Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI)


SLS’ Dr. Carlos Mata will be providing a four-hour training session at the Fire Investigators of Florida 2022 Annual Training Conference from 8am – 12pm on Thursday, November 10th at the Hardrock Hotel in Daytona Beach, FL. The Fire Investigators of Florida are the 9th Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI)

Dr. Mata’s training course is titled “Investigating Lightning Related Fires”. The course will focus on the following:

·        Lightning phenomena
·        Types of lightning and differences between types of lightning
·        Lightning damage, including fires and explosions
·        Lightning forensics, investigation
·        Application of NFPA (921, 780, 70) and IEC 62305 standards

The training is open is to all personnel who conduct fire investigations, both public and private. Law Enforcement Personnel are also welcome.
