The mission, organized by Select Florida in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Embassies in Uruguay and Paraguay, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Paraguay, aimed to promote the company’s cutting-edge services in countries with a high incidence of lightning.

The trip comes at a strategic time as both Uruguay and Paraguay are known for their significant investments in infrastructure and industry, bolstered by stable economies, favorable business environments, and supportive tax regimes.

In Uruguay, the company’s Chief Revenue Officer engaged in seven formal meetings with prospective customers and obtained leads for four potential partnerships to strengthen market presence. Productive discussions were held with key industry players, including the national utility (U.T.E.) and the national oil and gas company (ANCAP). A tour of the country’s major free zones highlighted their potential to drive Uruguay’s economic growth, offering exciting opportunities for collaboration.

Paraguay’s segment of the mission was equally successful, with 12 potential customers and partners meeting with Scientific Lightning Solutions. A standout engagement with the local utility (ANDE) revealed plans for an $8 billion investment in the coming years. While some meetings identified companies not aligned with the firm’s scale, valuable connections were made with two companies and two potential partners poised to facilitate the company’s expansion in the market.

Receptions hosted by the Ambassadors for Uruguay and Paraguay in their respective capitals provided unparalleled networking opportunities, deepening the understanding of the local business landscapes and cultivating relationships vital to the company’s international growth strategy.
