SLS performed the lightning protection system design for Space Florida’s Launch Complex 46 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.  After the system was fully constructed, SLS performed a full lightning protection inspection to verify compliance with the NFPA-780 and AFI 32-1065 standards.  The inspection included a full suite of bonding, ground-to-earth resistance, and loop resistance measurements.  Launch Complex 46 will support NASA’s Orion Abort Ascent (AA-2) mission in June 2019.
